US Crowns 2 Reps for World Cosplay Summit 2008

On December 7th to 9th in New York, USA, the US Preliminary Rounds for the World Cosplay Summit (WCS) 2008 was held at the New York Anime Festival event. Veteran cosplayer, Renee Gloger and upcoming favorite, Sonnya Paz, were selected as the champions for the cosplay event. Both of these two winners will now represent USA for the World Cosplay Summit 2008 contest that will be held in Summer 2008 at Nagoya, Japan!

Many events with Japanese manga as a common concept, have gained notoriety with thousands of people involved and tens to hundreds of thousands of guests. In many of these events the performance and presentation of cosplayers who identify with Japanese animation characters is among the most anticipated moments. The World Cosplay Summit, which had started since 2003, had been the main attraction for cosplayers all around the world. Each year, many countries will send in their best contestants to compete at the prestigious anime cosplay competition in Japan! Will Malaysia be able to send in their best two? We will soon find out!
