Evangelion 3.0 A Hit, 1 Million Viewers in just 4 Days

The latest Rebuild of Evangelion movie has exceeded expectation, even with lower than expected reviews from viewers. As of today, 4 days after the initial airing (17th of November 2012), a total of 1 Million viewers have watched the movies in cinema, raking in around 1.5 Billion yen in sales.
With such a strong showing it might no be long that it will grace the cinemas of other countries
as well

Evangelion 3.0 Premiere Date Announced

Evangelion Claims Best Selling Blu-Ray Record

Evangelion 2.22 has officially claimed the title of the best selling Blu-Ray disc, surpassing the record set by Michael Jackson “This is It”.
This has been confirmed by Oricon, where it recorded in the first week of sales Eva 2.22 went on to sell around 357,000 copies, a new record in Japan beating the sales of the posthumously released “This is it”, which sold around 351,000 copies.
Combined sales of both DVD and Blu-Ray has exceeded 640,000 copies, and ranked as the 14th best selling anime of all times.

First Day Sales of Evangelion 2.22 Exceeds 300K

The first day official sales for the Blu Ray and DVD sales for Evangelion 2.22 has exceeded expectation, with 124,000 DVDs and 195,000 Blu-ray sold, accounting for around 320,000 combined sales. This totally exceeds the first day sales of the former best selling anime Blu-Ray, the first volume of Kidou Senshi Gundam (UC) which sold around 56,000 copies. It also broken the record of the most Blu-Ray sold, formerly held by Michael Jackson’s This is It, which was around 122,000 copies. More >
Fancy a Trip To Tokyo 3?

Wanting to visit Tokyo 3, the famous place where the world of Shin Seiki Evangelion was centered in? Well you can, in a way. Tokyo 3 is based upon the real life Hakone in Japan, and the Hakone Tourism Committee, under supervision of Studio Khara and Gainax decided to cash in on that fact by releasing around 10,000 pamphlets, aptly titled “Evangelion Hakone Complementation Map” (ヱヴァンゲリヲン箱根補完マップ)”

Situated in Kanagawa, the map of Hakone, sorry, I mean Tokyo 3 will give fans a chance to visit all the famous places that was featured in the series. One might wonder if they also have a large hole (geofront) underneath the city. The map also suggest the best routes to go to all of these places, which is a good way to get some of these fans exercising without them knowing it.
