Over 41k Visits the Inagural Anime Festival Asia Malaysia

The recently concluded Anime Festival Asia Malaysia that was held last weekend at the Putra World Trade Centre was a hit, surpassing the initial target with a total of 41 thousand visitors visiting the event over two days and has easily taken the crown for Malaysia’s largest Anime-centric event, eclipsing even that
of AFKL. The event, which is it’s first year specifically targets the fans of Japanese culture, specifically the ones that involves animes, mangas, cosplays and anisongs. And it totally did not disappoint with a whole lot of activities lined up for the fans over the two days
Over the next few days we will be doing special report of the event, but for now we will give a gist of what happened over the two days at PWTC!

Anime Festival Asia Malaysia: Day 0 Press Event

Here is your chance to get the AFAMY tickets, and also meet up close the guests for AFAMY a day before the real
event starts! On Friday, 8th of June AFAMY will have a Day 0 Press Preview event at Plaza Low Yat featuring most, if not ALL of the guests that will appear on the two day event. This includes the famous K-PopJapanese band FLOW, Kotoko, Kalafina, host Danny Choo
and cosplayers Tasha, Miyuko and Kaname! While the press preview event starts at 6pm, fans who are looking to buy the tickets for AFAMY can also buy it at the same venue (Plaza Low Yat) starting from 8am.

Fans of Japanese music rejoice! FLOW has confirmed their participation for Anime Festival Asia Malaysia. While there is no official event schedule for AFA Malaysia yet we are expecting them to perform in the Anisong segment, something that has always been a staple of
the original AFA. We are still waiting for an official press release, but we can assure you, this is NOT an April Fool’s joke. More >
